Hi, if you are still feeling down about the Australian Open (like I am) this may be just the medicine you need to make you feel that little bit better. This is a 14 minute long, extended version of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal laughing while shooting the commercial for the 2010 Match For Africa. Featuring:

  • Roger swearing
  • “Could you imagine if you we had to film a movie together? It would probably take like 5 years.”
  • Both men sweating
  • Roger speaking Spanish
  • Roger to Rafa: “you’re perfect, it’s me.”
  • Rafa fixing his hair for some length of time

This is the best video in history. 26 majors between them and about 8 years on top dominating the men’s tour, and these two can’t manage to say a few lines in front of a camera without laughing. I love them.

OMG, THANK YOU!! I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE COMPLETE VIDEO SINCE.. THE VIDEO WAS AIRED! THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I love how, when these two pose with other players for pre-match photos, you can always see there’s a bit of awkward hesitation whether to place their hand on the net or the other person’s back. HERE, both Federer and Nadal automatically put their hands on each other’s lower back. So in sync. So..FEDAL ♥

The two are asked by chair umpire Jake Garner to pose for a photo together before the coin toss. This is typically done after the toss, but Federer and Nadal come together automatically, and their arms immediately reach for each other’s backs. On the one hand, you might say they’re well versed in this, from many matches and exhibitions over the years. On the other hand, they act a little like family.

“They sometimes leave together, sign some autographs and get in their cars, not without saying goodbye with a strong hug. They are very cute, very nice!´ says Hernandez. ´I am responsible for delivering the cars to everyone. But sometimes they get in the car of the other one and drive away together, talking. You notice the good vibes that exist between the two of them. But that’s not all; in some matches of Rafa, Robert, Roger’s father, has been seen cheering for him” affirms Hernandez.
